Bonfire Procession & Fireworks - Saturday 21st October
PLEASE NOTE: Due to popular demand the full route of the procession will be reinstated this year. This means it will start from the Bonfire Field as usual but will go all the way to the Muddy Duck before turning round and returning to the field.
• Procession starts at 7.50pm from the Bonfire Field
• Entrance to the field £1
• Bonfire lit at 8.30pm (approx)
• Bar, food and amusements on the Bonfire Field
NOTICE In the interests of safety no fireworks other than those used by Bonfire Societies are to be brought on to the bonfire field or along the procession route.
It is an offence to discharge fireworks in a public place. Please respect all boundaries and instructions from marshals.
On the night we need between 30 and 40 marshals to look after road closures, control the crowds, collect entrance money etc.
We are also looking for people to be collectors. This involves rattling a bucket along the procession route. All the money we collect on the night goes to local good causes.
